When I was young, I helped my grandfather in his cabinet making business during the school holidays. My admiration for my grandfather and his work ethic encouraged me to strive to achieve ownership of my own business. I completed my cabinet making Apprenticeship in 2000 and AJB Kitchens was born. I can honestly say that I love my job and I love helping people turn their visions into reality.
AJB Kitchens was established in 2000 and has been operating for 21 years. Initially, I worked full time as a kitchen manufacturer and carried out my own kitchen renovations in my spare time, working from a garage in my backyard. As word-of-mouth referrals grew, I took on more of my own jobs, left my fulltime job and moved my business into a small factory unit located in Seven Hills, NSW. After several years of carrying out our work in Seven Hills, and with a growing number of skilled staff joining my team, I found the need to expand to bigger and better premises.
In late 2012 I purchased two adjoining factory units in Kings Park, NSW, to accommodate this growth. These factory units were more modern and spacious and have allowed me to take the business to the next level, with the addition of modern machinery, including a CNC Router and Spray booth. These new premises have also allowed me to fit out our new Showroom for my customers, as well as providing a much larger office space for my administration team.

After several years of carrying out customer focused work from a small factory in Seven Hills, NSW, and with a growing number of skilled staff joining our team, our referrals kept increasing to the point where bigger and better premises were needed. AJB Kitchens has employed, and continues to employ, several young apprentices in order to further the career of young kitchen manufacturers and detailed joiners.
All board used by AJB Kitchens is from plantation forests and the solider timber we use is eco-certified. You save money thanks to our 3D computer software to calculate how best to cut your board in order to ensure that the highest percentage of board is used to minimise wastage. You’ll be pleased to know our management team is always looking for opportunities to reduce our eco impact and, wherever possible, aim to use environmentally friendly products.
